At the Feeder: Black-capped Chickadee

We recently introduced bird feeders to our backyard.  I love sitting outside and listening to the birds, and now they stop by and visit for a quick bite to eat.  The first visitor (at the least the first visitor that I saw) to our new feeder was this Black-capped Chickadee:

The National Audubon Society Field Guide indicates that the Black-capped Chickadee is a frequent visitor of suburban feeders throughout the winter.  I’ll have to see if they stick around throughout the spring and summer!

Have a great weekend!
