Hi everyone. Apologies for my absence – I hope things are well with you! The photography class and work have been more than I imagined…
Below is this week’s response to the weekly photo challenge:
It was taken at a local metro park, early in the morning as the sun was starting to rise. Sitting on the deck, listening to the wildlife, and enjoying a cup of coffee – the golden hour indeed!
To often we forget to heed this simple advice:
The above sign is taken from a local rose garden. And while there are 12,000 roses in this specific park, each of us has roses along our paths each day. This week, let’s each take a moment to recognize the elements of beauty in our lives.
I hope that everyone has a great week!
I don’t think of all the misery but of of the beauty that still remains. ~Anne Frank
It’s easy to get trapped into thinking about all of the things that aren’t going the way we want them to go. The media seems to reinforce all of the negatives going on in the world, and many times the conversation at work and dinner leads to the challenges of the day. These thought patterns can serve as a shield from all of the good and beauty in our lives and the world. In my own life this leads to me taking things for granted.
So for this week, it’s my goal to remember the beauty and to recognize the many positive elements in my life.
May our weeks be filled with good and beauty.
